    The  Journal of Innovations in Educational Assessment is an annual publication of the International   Association for Innovations in Educational Assessment (IAIIEA). The journal's purpose is to provide valid information to enhance research and knowledge to improve educational assessment practices across the globe. The journal publishes documents that contribute to the improvement of educational assessment through innovations.

    JIEA Vol. 4. No 1, October 2022, is the seventh in the series of the journal publications of the International Association for Innovations in Educational Assessment. This edition is peculiar because it encapsulates what education should be after the new era, globally refers to as the “New Normal Times”. The journal consists of fourteen articles which can be subdivided into seven areas, namely:

    1. creativity and innovations in educational assessment;
    2. environmental impact and qualitative education;
    3. attitude, motivation, emotion and intelligence;
    4. development of research instruments;
    5. application of information and computer technology in the educational assessment;
    6. comparative studies; and
    7. assessment in the new normal times.

    The Journal of Innovations in Educational Assessment (JIEA) is published annually to provide an avenue for the dissemination of new findings, especially in the areas of education and assessment. As such, the emphasis of this sixth edition, Journal of Innovations in Educational Assessment, Volume 3, No. 2 August, 2021, is in five major areas:

    1. assessment of test taking skills;
    2. effect of inquiry-based learning approach at the secondary school level;
    3. effect of gender and school type factors;
    4. assessment of work-related stress and job performance of lecturers; and
    5. effect of feed-forward approach to students' achievements in secondary  school subjects.

    The fifth issue, Journal of Innovations in Educational Assessment  Volume. 3, No. 1 was written for the purpose of providing information on st educational research and assessment for 21st-century enhanced education. The emphasis of fifth edition focuses on five specific areas, namely:

    1. educational research as a road map for teacher's quality and authentic assessment in higher education;
    2. teachers and students' preparedness for 21st-century education;
    3. procedures for determining the psychometric properties of intelligence  tests;
    4. comparison of analysis of teacher made test and standardized test; and
    5. impact of audio-visual aids and utilization of computer-based test on students' academic performance.
